Sara Butler, DVM

Dr. Sara Butler grew up in California, where she got her start in veterinary medicine as a volunteer clinic assistant at her local animal shelters. She received her Bachelor of Science from the University of Massachusetts Amherst and her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Western University of Health Sciences. Following graduation, Dr. Butler completed a rotating specialty and emergency internship with Medvet Silicon Valley. In California she practiced shelter medicine and small animal general practice for 5 years before joining Green Bay Animal Hospital in March 2026. Dr. Butler is passionate about client education, preventative medicine, and senior care.

She and her boyfriend live with her 3 legged cat, Yardstick, and the occasional foster animal. In her spare time, she loves to travel and explore Chicago.
